About the Role We’re looking for a data-driven storyteller to join the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW as our Business Insights & Reporting Specialist. In this newly shaped 12-month fixed-term role, you’ll turn complex data into clear, actionable insights that lift performance across marketing, customer engagement, and organisational strategy. Key Responsibilities Analytics & Reporting Own analytics and insights across RAS data Design, build and maintain Power BI dashboards, data models and scheduled reports that scale. Translate business questions into measurement plans and clear, decision-ready insights. Data Engineering & Automation Integrate, clean and prepare datasets from multiple internal systems; manage ETL processes for reliability and speed. Identify and implement automation to reduce manual reporting and improve accuracy. Stakeholder Partnership Partner with marketing, communications and customer teams to refine KPIs, improve campaign measurement, and embed data-informed ways of working. Support digital transformation by aligning systems, processes and data infrastructure. About You A strong analytical mindset with a focus on optimisation and scalability. Excellent communication skills — you can explain complex data simply for non-technical audiences. High energy and initiative; able to work independently and as part of a team in fast-paced environments. A proactive, ethical and quality-driven approach. Qualifications & Experience Essential Approximately 2 years’ experience in data analytics/business insights (internships included). Strong experience with large datasets and BI tools; proficiency in Power BI, BigQuery, Advanced Excel, DAX, SQL and M language. Experience in campaign analytics and digital performance tracking; excellent data visualisation and storytelling. Desirable Tertiary qualifications in data analytics, computer science, digital technology or related fields. Exposure to CMS, CRM, automation and workflow tools.
