About the Opportunity This position gives you the chance to drive tangible people strategies in areas such as workforce planning, recruitment and onboarding, performance management, learning and development, employee relations, HR policy, and HR systems. Your duties will include: Provide expert, day-to-day HR advice and support across all core HR functions; Oversee recruitment and onboarding, drive performance management, support learning & development; Lead or assist with employee relations matters: grievances, conflict resolution, conduct issues; Help develop, review, implement HR policies & procedures; Support HR systems / technology enhancements, provide accurate reporting and metrics to inform decision making; and Be part of HR programs and initiatives: staff surveys, wellbeing, recognition, culture-building. About you We’re looking for an experienced HR professional who can partner with the business, build strong relationships, and contribute to both day-to-day HR operations and broader improvements. You’ll bring a solid understanding of employment law and HR policy, great communication skills, and the ability to support change with a practical, solutions-focused approach. Ideally you will have: 3-5 years of HR generalist experience, ideally in a business partnering or advisory role; Strong knowledge of employment law, HR policy, and industrial instruments (Queensland / public sector context a plus); Excellent communication, discretion, and relationship-building skills; Proven ability to drive process improvements and support organisational change; Confident in using HR / payroll systems, reporting, and HR software tools; and Qualifications in HR (degree, diploma, Cert IV) are desirable, but practical experience and impact matter most.
