We’re offering a unique opportunity to transition into a Change & Risk Management Officer role on a high-profile Water Desalination Plant , delivered under an Alliance contracting model . This position is ideal for someone ready to move beyond traditional QS tasks and into a more stakeholder-facing role. The Project The project includes the design, construction, operation and maintenance of the plant with first production in 2028. Works include marine works and tunnels, seawater intake system, a seawater reverse osmosis desalination plant, groundwater system, drinking water storage and pump system, supported by civil, electrical and bulk earthworks. Key accountabilities for the position: Assist in the assessment and management of project changes impacting time, cost, and scope, including both client-initiated and internal changes. Assist and support contract claims, especially for client-driven changes and cost-plus arrangements, using project accounting data. Assist change requests are processed, approved, and communicated effectively to all relevant stakeholders. Assist in the delivery of tailored training to site teams on the project-specific change management process. Assist in the Identification, assessment, and monitoring of risks and opportunities, aligning them with change management strategies. Assist in the engagement stakeholders and report on risks, ensuring compliance through audits and providing actionable insights to senior management. Required Skills and Competencies Early career experience in infrastructure projects as a Junior Quantity Surveyor. Ability to read and interpret construction plans and technical specifications with accuracy. Basic measurement skills using digital tools, ideally with experience in Blue Beam. Competence in cost estimating; familiarity with first principles pricing is a strong advantage.
