Description About the role: Seymour College is seeking a dedicated and inspiring Art Teacher to join our team in 2026. This position will primarily focus on the delivery of Middle Years Art, with the capacity to teach Senior Art. This permanent role is offered at 0.7 FTE, commencing Term 1, 2026. The key responsibilities are to: Deliver engaging Art lessons across the Middle Years, with the ability to teach Senior Art. Create a positive and stimulating learning environment that promotes curiosity, critical thinking and artistic expression. Develop and implement curriculum that reflects strong knowledge of ACARA and SACE requirements. Provide meaningful assessment, feedback and reporting to support student growth. Collaborate with colleagues, parents and the wider community to enhance student outcomes. Contribute to co-curricular activities, exhibitions and College events. Skills And Experiences About you: The successful candidate will have: Relevant academic qualifications and a current South Australian Teacher Registration. Proven experience teaching Art at a secondary level. Strong knowledge of pedagogy, curriculum design, and assessment strategies. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents. A collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute to the wider life of the College. Current certifications, including Working with Children Check, RRHAN-EC, and First Aid in an education setting (HLTAID012).
