Description About the role: Seymour College is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Physical Education Teacher to join our team in 2026. This position will focus on the delivery of PE across Years 7–11, with scope for the role to be increased with a pastoral care load. This fixed term role for Semester 1, 2026 is offered at 0.56 FTE. The key responsibilities are to: Teaching engaging Physical Education lessons across Years 7–11. Creating a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment that promotes student achievement and wellbeing. Developing and implementing curriculum that reflects strong knowledge of ACARA and SACE requirements. Providing meaningful assessment, feedback and reporting to support student growth. Encouraging participation and excellence in physical activity, teamwork and personal development. Collaborating with colleagues, parents and the wider community to enhance student learning outcomes. Contributing to co-curricular programs, College events and community initiatives. Skills And Experiences About the role: The successful candidate will have: Experience in teaching Physical Education across the Middle and Senior Years (Years 7–11). Strong knowledge of curriculum, assessment and pedagogy in Health and Physical Education. Create dynamic and engaging learning experiences that foster teamwork, resilience and wellbeing. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students and families. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing demands. A commitment to the values, ethos and wellbeing framework of Seymour College. Current certifications, including Working with Children Check, RRHAN-EC, and First Aid in an education setting (HLTAID012) and Teachers Registration Board of South Australia (TRB).
