Description We currently have an opportunity for an Asset Manager to join our Health and Education team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in delivering strategic asset management and compliance, helping to ensure our essential services are supported by robust, efficient, and future-ready infrastructure. You’ll be working closely with a passionate team committed to making a real difference in the communities we serve. Reporting to the Facilities Director, you’ll be responsible for driving high-quality outcomes across a diverse portfolio, with a strong focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement. This position is a 12-month maternity cover with opportunities to extend or work on other key accounts in Downer. What You’ll Do This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including: Lead the delivery of asset management and compliance strategies across a major healthcare facility. Oversee lifecycle planning, asset condition analysis, and preventative maintenance programs. Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure service excellence. Provide strategic recommendations to enhance infrastructure performance and system resilience. Ensure compliance with statutory, contractual, and safety obligations. What You’ll Bring Engineering qualifications with technical knowledge of hospital infrastructure and systems. Proven experience in Asset Facilities Management within hospital facility environments. Strong understanding of ISO 55000, lifecycle planning, and performance-based contracts. Knowledge of PPP models would be advantageous. Ability to lead subcontractor performance and manage compliance frameworks. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with strong reporting skills and attention to accuracy.
