Description About the Role: Kent are seeking Skilled Trade Assistants (Mechanical & Electrical) to join our Ampol Future Fuels project in Lytton. As a Trade Assistant at Kent, you will play a crucial role in assisting our Tradespeople with various tasks, contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of our projects. Your responsibilities will include supporting Tradespeople, maintaining tools and equipment and ensuring a safe working environment This is an amazing opportunity to join a critical Australian infrastructure project which will be instrumental in reducing emissions and improving the environment. Your Day to Day will Include : Assist electricians with installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and components including cable ladder, conduits, light fittings with support poles etc. Pull and run tie cables as directed. Sup of equipment and tooling for tradespersons, housekeeping of work fronts, spotting duties, forklift duties, firewatch and sentry duties. Prepare and clean work areas, including basic site setup and pack-up. Operate power tools and hand tools under supervision. Carry and manage materials, tools, and equipment safely. Adhere to all WHS (Work Health and Safety) procedures, PPE requirements and site safety rules. Support compliance with Australian electrical standards (AS/NZS 3000 and others). Perform basic testing and tagging under guidance (if trained). Assist in reading and interpreting plans, drawings and schematics. Maintain a clean and safe job site at all times. Follow the directions of your Supervisor or delegate. Complete any duties requested of you that are reasonably within your skillset and capability. About You: Our ideal candidate will have experience working on construction projects and hold current certifications, including RIIWHS204 Work at Heights and RIIWHS202 Enter and Work in Confined Spaces (both obtained within the past two years), a valid Construction White Card, and a current Australian Driver’s License.
