INTERNAL OPPORTUNITY Relief Senior Security Officer – Higher Duties $32.31 per hour | Part Time Higher Duties Movie World, Oxenford, Gold Coast The Opportunity You will be responsible for the security of our properties by detecting and deterring potential issues. In this role you will assist the Security Coordinator in the day to day running of the Security Night & Day Shift and mentor Security Officers. Key Responsibilities • Provide specialist knowledge on training related issues and topics for the security department. • Follow all safely procedures, policies and signage to ensure a safe environment for guests and employees. • Contribute significantly to the implementation of training evaluation processes. • Require close collaboration and integration of activity with the Security Supervisor. • Maintain patrol of grounds for the safety of the animals and property. • Maintain gate house operations, such as visitor/contractor access control, registering of vehicles, issues of keys to appropriate persons, bag/boot checks, and ensure that written reports are completed each shift. You’ll bring: • Minimum 6-month experience as a Security Officer with Movie World • Flexibility to work Night Shifts over periods of time when requested. • Guest Service experience with effective communication skills and problem solving ability. • Professional and friendly disposition with an ability to work under pressure, multi-task & meet deadlines. • Ability to learn & utilise equipment such as computer & two-way radio. • Incident report writing knowledge. • Knowledge of computer programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel
