Description Opportunity As a Boiler Maker you will be responsible for a variety of metal fabrication tasks including: cutting, shaping, assembling and welding of plate and/or structural steel items, such as: Tanks, Pressure Vessels, Modules, Pipe Supports and Structural Steel. You will work with precision and technical expertise to ensure that all tasks are completed to the highest quality standards and safety regulations. Your Day to Day: Be a self-starter and able to work both autonomously and as part of a team. Construct, assemble and install components, including tanks, modules, pipe supports, steel structure and pressure vessels, following blueprints, drawings, and specifications with high precision. Perform welding tasks using techniques such as FCAW, GMAW and SMAW based on project requirements and material specifications. Weld plate and structural components in sequence to eliminate shrinkage and distortion. Follow quality control systems and techniques Interpret engineering and detailed fabrication drawings, specifications and standards to complete tasks accurately. Ability to mark out and measure accurately. Demonstrate a commitment to workplace safety and the safety of your co-workers; Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Maintain and care for welding equipment, tools, and machinery, ensuring they are in proper working condition. Collaborate with other team members, including engineers, QA/QC inspectors, and construction management team, to achieve project goals and timelines. Keep detailed records of work performed: including Daily weld logs, Consumable logs, Workpacks and Weld maps. Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices to enhance skills and knowledge. About You: Our ideal candidate will have a Certificate III Engineering or Fabrication Trade – Boilermaker or International Equivalent. Working at Heights, Confined Space Entry Ticket and White Card are a must. A backgound within construction projects in Oil & Gas will be highly regarded.
