We are looking for a passionate and experienced Speech Pathologist (Paediatric) to join our growing team. This exciting role will involve clinical practice as well as team supervision, peer support, and program development. The Role: As the Senior Speech Pathologist, you will be responsible for assessing and providing therapy to children within the NDIS framework, or those referred by other medical professionals. Your work will cover a variety of settings, including clinic, office, home, and community-based environments. Key Responsibilities: Clinical Work: Conduct assessments and provide evidence-based therapy for children aged 0-9 years, tailored to their individual needs within the NDIS framework or referrals. (Supervision): Provide formal supervision to junior clinicians and new team members. Lead monthly peer group supervision sessions to enhance clinical skills and foster professional development within the team. Program Development: Design, implement, and run group programs aimed at supporting children’s language and communication skills. Develop and participate in school and community workshops and educational programs to raise awareness and deliver valuable resources to the broader community. Collaboration: Work closely with families, multidisciplinary teams, and external stakeholders to deliver holistic care and ensure a coordinated approach to client management. Continuous Improvement: Participate in professional development opportunities and stay up to date with best practice in speech pathology and NDIS policies. Requirements: Tertiary Qualification in Speech Pathology : A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech Pathology. Full SPA Registration : Must be fully registered with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA). Working with Children Check : Current and valid check required for working with children. National Police Check : Current and valid police check. Driver’s License and Own Car : Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle. Desirable Attributes: Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Passion for working with children and a commitment to helping them achieve their potential. ASD and ADHD knowledge and AAC experiences are desirable. Creative thinking in developing and delivering group programs.
