About our Opportunity VENTORA is seeking a strategic and experienced Logistics Category Manager to lead and optimise our end-to-end logistics network. This is a high-impact, project-based role, ideal for someone with a strong logistics background, consulting experience, and a proven track record in operations. You’ll be responsible for establishing the overall logistics strategy and developing tailored plans for different business units and sites. The role involves deep diagnostics across three key logistics categories: sea freight, interstate transit, and site-to-site/site-to-customer delivery . For each subcategory, you’ll analyse how freight is managed, review contracts and contractors, and identify opportunities for re-tendering and improvement. The role can be based at any of our sites located in Girraween, Macquarie Park or St Marys, NSW, Dandenong South or Rowville, VIC or Staplyton, QLD. Key Responsibilities Set the logistics strategy for VENTORA, developing plans that address the unique needs and challenges of each division and site. Conduct in-depth diagnostics understanding current management models, contracts, and contractor usage, and recommend improvements. Lead change initiatives, including re-tendering work, optimising delivery models, and driving efficiency and sustainability. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with VENTORA’s values and business objectives. Develop and maintain dashboards and KPIs, providing actionable insights to senior leadership. Analyse logistics spend and data to inform decision-making. Assess and recommend the best business models for state transit and last mile delivery, considering owned, leased, and outsourced solutions. About You Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business or related field. Strong experience in logistics, ideally with an operations and consulting background. Deep knowledge of international freight, customs, and compliance. Demonstrated expertise in logistics performance management, contract negotiation, and carrier governance. Experience with dynamic routing, load consolidation, and continuous improvement initiatives. Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and drive actionable insights. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project leadership abilities. Customer-focused with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
