The amazing team plans and executes a range of corporate and social events, tailored to the clients needs with precision. They own and operate within multiple venues across Sydney, and they are looking for a Commercial Sales Manager to join their team. Position Terms: Full-Time, Permanent Role Working Full-Time in the Head Office Salary: $95,000 - $105,000 plus super plus bonus Occasional work outside of normal business hours for events is required. The Role: The Commercial Sales Manager will be responsible for supporting the Head of Sales Operations by being responsible for managing a team, clients and operations of the Corporate Sales Team. The role is influential as part of the Sales Leadership Team to achieve individual and team sales budget and oversee day-to-day tasks of the team. Key Responsibilities include; Show prospective clients through the venue when required and respond to client needs. Collaborate with the Sales Leadership Team to align sales objectives with overall business objectives. Ensure the seamless and efficient operations of the sales processes, from lead generation to confirmation to payment. Use technology solutions effectively to enhance the sales experience for both clients and the Sales team. Ensure that all sales material and collateral is up-to-date, accurate and relevant. Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team of Sales Managers Provide guidance and coaching to team members, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture. Conduct training sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of team members. Work closely with the Head of Sales Operations to ensure that the teams within their portfolio achieve or exceed agreed sales budgets. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners. Work closely with the team to identify and pursue new business opportunities. Foster collaboration between teams to ensure a seamless and coordinated approach to sales and other departments. The Candidate: The successful candidate will have previous experience working as a Sales Manager within the hospitality and events industry. Experience managing sales teams with strong people management skills. Proven record of meeting sales targets within the hospitality and events industry. Ability to translate strategy into an executable plan and drive high quality outcomes. Strong analytical and evaluative skills to address business problems. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients. Strong sales techniques and negotiation skills. Ability to manage competing priorities effectively. Exceptional time management skills. Proficient in Microsoft Suite, and a working knowledge of using CRM software. Excellent financial and budget management skills. Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours for events when required.
