The Company: A major supplier in the events space are looking for a new Event Coordinator to join their team. With offices across the country, this role will be based in Melbourne and will play a critical role in supporting the successful delivery of events. The Supplier works with high-profile clients to deliver large-scale events. Position Terms: Permanent full-time role Working full-time in office, located in Eastern Suburbs near Glen Waverley Salary: $70,000 - $75,000 plus super The Role: The Event Coordinator will report to the State Manager and will be responsible for supporting the successful delivery of events, ensuring they exceed client expectations and remain within budget. Key Responsibilities include; Liaise with partner staff and representatives ahead of and throughout all stages of an event. Accurately record event details and updates in internal systems within the required within required timeframes. Provide on-site support to ensure event logistics, including equipment setup, staffing needs, and event flow, run smoothly. Prepare event budgets and submit for State Managers approval, actively helping to monitor event budgets to ensure financial efficiency. Ensure event budgets align with financial KPIs for direct costs and variable wages as outlined in the event budgets. Assist the State Manager in serving as the primary point of contact for clients, promptly and professionally addressing their needs, expectations, and concerns. Actively maintain strong, ongoing relationships with clients and key stakeholders. Assist in the preparation and transportation of event equipment and materials. Support State Manager in implementing event policies, procedures, and risk management plans. Incorporate sustainability initiatives into event planning, such as reducing waste and utilising eco-friendly materials wherever possible. The Candidate: The successful candidate will have previous experience working as an Event Coordinator, ideally with strong client management and administration skills. Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks are essential for this role. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with confidence in client interactions. High level of computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality events. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in fast paced environment. Flexibility to work beyond standard business hours and travel as required for event delivery.
