OSHC Coordinator/ Educational Leader Part Time (FTE Between 25-35 Hours per week, 5 days a week) Norwest Christian College is seeking a gifted Coordinator for our thriving Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) program. We are seeking a leader who will motivate and inspire a dedicated team of staff whilst building strong relationships with families and coordinating all day to day operations such as admin, health & safety and program development. As well as providing before and after school care, the OSHC service runs holiday programs during term breaks. The OSHC Coordinator is responsible for the successful management of both aspects of service. Commencing Term 4, 2025 or earlier by negotiation, employment of the successful candidate will be subject to the conditions of the NSW Christian Schools General Staff Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2020-2023 Your Role : The OSHC Coordinator / Educational Leader will be expected to deliver a high quality program, promoting service excellence and safety. This will be achieved by supporting and mentoring a high performing, skilled and engaged staff team, and by providing an inclusive and fun environment in which children are engaged and well supervised. In addition to the leadership role the Coordinator will be required to provide hands-on support and guide educators in all aspects of the program. Qualifications and Experience : The successful candidate will also be able to demonstrate at interview a personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ, and a lifestyle consistent with that faith, including an active commitment to a Christian fellowship , as well as the following skills and experience; A strong understanding of and commitment to Christian education and the Christian development of children; A strong rapport with, empathy with, and understanding of school age children; A comprehensive understanding of the needs and differences of children; Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills; An understanding of the ‘MyTime, Our Place’ learning National Quality Framework; Minimum 2 years experience working in an OSHC centre; An enthusiastic, inspiring and innovative personality with an ability to evoke a positive team culture and build community connections; A capacity to develop programs that differentiate opportunities for children and management of rosters and coordination of budgets. The following qualifications are desirable, or a willingness to complete, with full financial support from the College: Diploma or Cert 3 in Early Childhood Education and Care, or Diploma of School Age Education and Care. Service Hours - these are provided to give candidates an opportunity to consider the service hours of the centre. The successful candidate will be expected to make themselves available for rostered supervision during these time frames; We are looking for a candidate who will be able to work between 25 and 35 hours a week, which includes 5 hours of administration. OSHC is open at the following times: Before School Care (7:00am-9.00am) After School Care (2.30pm-6.30pm) Vacation Care (7:00am- 6:00pm).
