Job Description Financial Controller | Melbourne-Based | Immediate Start A leading renewable energy innovator is seeking a Financial Controller to lead financial operations and support strategic growth. This full-time permanent role reports to the CFO and offers the opportunity to shape financial reporting, modelling, and investment evaluation in a fast-paced, high-impact environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead preparation and audit of financial statements and annual reports Oversee monthly consolidated management accounts and reporting to leadership Manage payroll, accounts payable/receivable, BAS returns, and PAYGW Drive budgeting and forecasting processes, including complex financial modelling Monitor inventory and financial targets, identifying cost-saving opportunities Support investment evaluation, due diligence, and strategic fundraising Manage banking relationships and optimise working capital Lead tax compliance and R&D incentives, and support ERP implementation Coordinate with external advisors including legal, audit, and insurance Promote risk awareness and ensure compliance with HSE and company policies Candidate Profile: CA/CPA qualified with 7 years in financial control and corporate reporting Strong technical accounting skills and commercial acumen Experience in international business environments (China exposure preferred) Skilled in Excel modelling, Xero, and ERP systems Proven ability to drive efficiency and manage small teams Background in engineering/manufacturing within energy is a plus This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a dynamic, purpose-driven environment and wants to contribute to the energy transition.
