Job Description Join a leading agribusiness where you’ll play a key role in managing the end-to-end operations of domestic and international cotton trade. The Assistant Manager of Trade Operations (Cotton) plays a pivotal role in overseeing trade operations, administration, and execution of both domestic and international cotton trades. This position ensures the seamless day-to-day running of trade processes, providing support to traders, managing teams, coordinating logistics, and maintaining compliance. The role is essential to achieving operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and overall business profitability. This is a 2 year fixed term role. Key responsibilities will be but not limited to: Lead and mentor a trade operations team, ensuring efficient workflow and problem-solving. Oversee trade administration including contracts, shipping, and documentation. Support traders with trade execution, confirmations, and settlements. Coordinate logistics, warehousing, and supply chain to meet delivery schedules. Manage payments, receivables, and Letters of Credit. Collaborate across risk, compliance, and finance teams to mitigate risks. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and gins. Attributes and Skills: Proven experience in trade operations, ideally within commodity trading or agriculture. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, able to perform under pressure. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Good business acumen with strong analytical and reporting ability. Experienced in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Incoterms/UCP rules is highly regarded.
