We’re looking for a Lighting Show Control Technician to help bring the magic to life at Australian Outback Spectacular and Paradise Country. This isn’t your average tech role, you’ll be the one behind the scenes making the show shine, creating jaw-dropping lighting effects, and ensuring every moment on stage looks unforgettable. From large-scale productions to special events like our legendary Christmas show, you’ll be at the heart of the action. Key Responsibilities Ready to get behind the scenes and make the magic happen? You’ll be: • Keeping our lighting and show technology in top shape at AOS. • Bringing the latest industry innovations into play to wow our audiences. • Managing installations for both permanent setups and once-in-a-lifetime special events. • Staying calm under pressure and prioritising tasks like a pro. • Taking the lead at AOS, your home base, while also lending your skills across events. • Working closely with management teams to deliver seamless productions. • Operating shows and making sure every performance goes off without a hitch. • Monitoring stock and consumables to keep us show-ready. • Sharing your expertise by training others in our lighting and tech systems. What We’re Looking For We’re after someone who’s passionate and thrives in a dynamic high-energy environment. You’ll bring: • The magic touch to keep our lights, effects, and show technology running like clockwork. • Confidence to take the lead backstage and own your role, you’re the one making the magic happen. • Nerves of steel (and comfort at heights!) to thrive in a live show environment. • Communication skills that hit every cue and keep the team in perfect sync. • Expertise in making conventional and intelligent lights shine and special effects pop. • Grand MA2, media servers, and projection equipment mastery, because every cue counts. • Flexibility to jump into midweek, weekend, day, or night shifts, the show must go on! • First Aid and CPR Certificates – essential. • EWP 11m license – desirable.
