About The Opportunity Programmed are currently on the lookout for an Administration & Claims Officer to join our Housing ACT Operations Team in this Full-time position, located in Canberra. Through the Homes ACT contract, we directly contribute to the well-being of individuals and families by ensuring their homes are safe, functional, and well-maintained. This work makes a real difference in the community, supporting some of the most vulnerable people in our society. This position plays a key role in supporting the claims and finance team by ensuring claims are processed accurately, efficiently, and in line with company policies. This role involves liaising with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to facilitate smooth claims management, while maintaining accurate financial records and supporting payment processes Key responsibilities Provide advice and guidance to subcontractors and clients on claim procedures and requirements. Review and analyze claim submissions for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with contractual and operational guidelines. Ensure claims are processed accurately and in a timely manner to meet payment deadlines Liaise with subcontractors and clients to resolve claim-related queries, discrepancies, and disputes. Run daily payment journals and prepare weekly payment forecasts. Prepare, review, and process financial documentation including purchase orders, credit notes, and other supporting documents to ensure accuracy. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of claims and financial transactions. About You To be successful in this role, you will have strong administration experience and a ‘can do’ attitude, natural ability for people engagement and passion for excellent service delivery. Additionally, you will demonstrate and possess the following: Demonstrated knowledge of building trades/services or facility management preferred, not required. Experience in claims processing or financial administration is desirable. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Strong communication skills. Excellent time management and prioritisation skills. Intermediate skills in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint).
