The greenkeeper is responsible for maintaining and preparing the course for members and visitors. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious greenkeeper to enhance and develop the facility, to ensure a good playing surface and ensure the course offers a consistent challenge and an enjoyable experience to golfers . Responsibilities Responsible for the maintenance, care and overall appearance of the golf course Role Mowing fairways/course Maintaining greens, raking bunkers, moving tee-markers, and cutting holes when required Maintaining surrounding gardens Maintain and repair equipment when required Irrigation of course, greens, trees and plants Apply mulch, fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides Skills Ability to work as part of a team and independently. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent time management and organisational skills. Proficient in the use of Grounds maintenance machinery. Have a can-do attitude with a flexible approach to work and prioritising tasks. Ability to work outdoors in most weather conditions and carry out heavy lifting. Good sense of humour. Requirements Horticulture certificate Qualification in greenkeeping will be an advantage Ability to work in a team environment or as an individual Maintained and operate safely in accordance with associated manuals and risk assessments Carry out all duties having due regard for the health and safety of yourself and others, in accordance with Health and Safety Policy. High professional and personal standards and have a commitment to continuous personal development.
