The is a full-time role on a hybrid work arrangement, working two days in the office and three days remotely ABOUT THE ROLE: We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Lead Cloud Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will take ownership of designing, implementing, and supporting cloud solutions on AWS while ensuring the scalability, security, and reliability of our platforms. You will work closely with a talented team of engineers to extend and maintain mission-critical applications, deliver new features, and optimize infrastructure operations. RESPONSIBILITIES: Champion cloud engineering best practices to ensure system quality, security, maintainability, and scalability. Own and manage AWS infrastructure operations, support, and DevOps self-service capabilities. Lead the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines , automated testing , and infrastructure automation. Deliver applications and platforms that meet business outcomes while maintaining cost controls in AWS. Mentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers on technical practices, system design, and cloud development. Oversee the strategic roadmap of projects and operational management of the cloud estate. Assess, plan, and design cloud-native applications and services, ensuring alignment with platform standards. Collaborate with Tech Leads and stakeholders to refine technical roadmaps and deliver impactful outcomes. Ensure solutions are properly documented, supported, and transitioned to BAU. Lead technical problem-solving and drive adherence to technical principles and governance. REQUIREMENTS: Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (VPC, EC2, ECS, Security Groups, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, RDS, DynamoDB, etc.). Proven ability to design, build, and operate scalable, reliable, and secure cloud systems. Advanced knowledge of Java 8 and Spring/Spring Boot for enterprise application development. Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging frameworks (Kafka, RabbitMQ). Familiarity with microservices architecture and distributed systems. Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (Docker, Jenkins, Ansible). Proficiency with automated testing frameworks (JUnit, etc.). Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL, DynamoDB). Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and mentoring skills.
