They focus on the repair and overhauls of underground mining equipment We are requiring Mechanical Fitters for work through to end of 2025 with high possibility for extension onto the next overhaul works in the workshop into the new year Main duties will include Repair/maintenance on underground associated mining gear Strip, overhaul, rebuild, and assemble mining equipment Interpret drawings and specifications to complete machinery assembly and rebuilds Location: Mackay workshop Hourly rate: $60.24 per hour penalties (based off client EA) Shifts/Hours: Day shift 6am start working Monday to Saturday (Saturday all double time hours) Requirements: Trade certificate, ability to pass pre-employment medical, high risk licenses, dogman, and gantry crane (advantageous) Only candidates who reside locally in Mackay or are willing to provide their own accommodation will be considered.
