Tell me about this role: Amentum requires a suitably qualified and experienced Engineering Officer to provide engineering support to design acceptance and introduction into service of current and new equipment / fleets of equipment, including development and publishing of related technical publications. What will I be doing day to day? Engineering officer will provide engineering support to design acceptance and introduction into service of current and new equipment / fleets of equipment, including development and publishing of related technical publications, along with Engineering Change (EC) and Report on Defective and Unsatisfactory Materiel (RODUM) investigations and solutions. The work the Engineering Officer can be expected to perform will include but not be limited to: Conduct review/approval of plans, designs, RODUMs and reports within allocated levels of technical authority; Provide design approval/acceptance functions within allocated levels of technical authority; and to progress existing ECs through the Configuration Management Process workflow to achieve design acceptance. Complete and assist technical analysts with technical investigations for sustainment and project requirements. Liaise with Defence stakeholders, organisations and personnel at all levels of management; and Develop and maintain close working relationships with all relevant stakeholders. What sort of skills do I need? Degree qualification (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Aerospace or related discipline) Deep knowledge of Defence Capability Life Cycle, Technical Regulatory Framework and Defence technical regulations. Experience in managing complex Defence acquisition or sustainment programs. Australian Citizenship and ITAR clearance. Hold a NV1 security clearance. Experience in Defence, preferably in Maritime domain. Highly developed technical engineering publication development experience What’s in it for me?
