Non-Executive Director (Code)TasracingPublishedSeptember 22, 2025ExpiresOctober 27, 2025LocationHobartCategoryJob TypeCountryAustraliaStateTasmania DescriptionTasracing is seeking to appoint two Non-Executive Code Directors and is calling for nominations of suitably-qualified individuals to serve as either a thoroughbred or greyhound code director.Tasracing is the principal racing authority in Tasmania, established as a State Owned Company in 2009, to oversee the operations and future development of the Tasmanian racing industry.Tasracing offers a dynamic environment for directors to provide strong strategic direction, oversight and governance of the organisation and contribute to the future success and long term sustainability of the industry.The Tasracing Board is comprised of seven directors, made up of a Chairperson, three directors with experience and expertise in the three codes of racing, and three directors with the experience and expertise necessary to enable the Company to achieve its objectives.The two Code Directors must be nominated by persons that are: - a member of either a thoroughbred or greyhound racing club; - a member of a thoroughbred or greyhound racing industry association; - licensed under the Rules of Racing for the thoroughbred or greyhound codes of racing; or - an owner or breeder of thoroughbred horses or greyhounds.Persons are eligible to nominate a maximum of three candidates each with experience and expertise relating to either the thoroughbred or greyhound code of racing.
