We are now looking for the pick of the litter to complement our existing team and help contribute to providing a premium service to local pets and their families. This is a rewarding permanent part time role where your main focus will be providing professional, efficient, and welcoming reception and administrative support. You’ll have opportunities to develop your skills and play a key role in creating an exceptional customer experience for pet families. Availability on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday is preferred, with the ability to pick up additional weekend shifts to cover leave from time to time. The ability to work peak periods, including school holidays, is required. What you’ll be doing: Be the friendly face of our facility, welcoming pets and their owners with warmth and professionalism Check guests in and out smoothly, making sure every detail of their stay is captured Handle bookings and enquiries across phone, email, and in-person with confidence Keep owners updated throughout their pet’s stay, delivering an exceptional customer experience Manage front-of-house reception and day-to-day admin efficiently Promoting and selling retail products tailored to each pet and owner What we're looking for: Previous reception experience in a fast-paced environment is preferred Previous experience working or volunteering with animals is desirable but not essential Availability to work peak periods, including public holidays, school holidays, Christmas, and Easter Excellent customer service, communication, and organisational skills Confident with computers and administration, with the ability to quickly learn new systems Punctual, with access to your own reliable transport Comfortable and confident around pets of all sizes, handling them calmly and safely Willing and able to assist in other areas of the facility as required Be committed to working safely and following instructions, policies and procedures at all times Available to attend a lawful unpaid work trial shift (operated within The Fair Work Ombudsman guidelines) Please note: This is a physically active role that requires the ability to stand, walk, lift, carry, bend, kneel, and handle animals (up to 50kg). You must be able to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions, and comfortably interact with pets, team members, and customers.
