This role offers a unique, high-visibility challenge dedicated to core financial payment systems. You'll be the crucial resource responsible for mapping transaction flows, automating processes, and ensuring regulatory compliance (Card Not Present (CNP)/Tokenisation) in an established, Australian-owned technology group. Our client supports the Australian industries with end-to-end payment and cash management solutions, prioritising value and long-standing relationships. They seek a self-motivated professional with the determination to overcome complex information barriers and drive tangible business change. What you’ll be doing as a Business Analyst: Applying financial payment system knowledge to support projects across ATM, POS, card payments, and settlement processes. Creating clear, detailed user stories with acceptance criteria, and managing the product backlog. Collaborating with external switch vendors, banks, and card schemes for correct payment interface integration. Analysing and documenting end-to-end financial transaction flows (authorisations, reversals, settlements, refunds, chargebacks). Driving process uplift, documentation, and automation identification within the EFT/scheme certification division. Engaging with stakeholders to validate solutions and addressing gaps in requirements. Manually sourcing requirements from complex scheme documentation due to privacy restrictions. What you'll bring to the team: Minimum 3 years of experience working within the financial payments sector as a Business Analyst Essential experience with EFT Switch operations and POS/card transaction processing (most important skills). Strong knowledge of scheme compliance, including Card Not Present (CNP) and Tokenisation. Work on a major uplift project: demonstrated ability to build rapport with internal teams, 3rd party vendors, offshore developers A high level of self-motivation and a solutions-oriented mindset.
