The business is seeking a Senior Mine Accountant to join the site team on an 8/6 roster, either on a FIFO / DIDO or Residential basis. Reporting directly to the on-site Commercial Manager , this role is critical in supporting accurate financial reporting, cost control, and commercial guidance to operational teams. Key responsibilities include: Month-end processing and reporting for operational and capital expenditure; Preparing and reviewing budgets and forecasts (monthly and annually); Partnering with cost owners to mentor them in cost control, accruals, and commercial responsibilities; Preparing variance analysis, management reports, and financial insights to support decision-making; Assisting with audit requirements and ensuring compliance with corporate and regulatory obligations; and Liaising with site operations, engineering, procurement, and corporate finance to ensure accurate cost capture and reporting. About you: Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (CA/CPA highly regarded); Previous experience in mining, resources, or heavy industry, ideally in a site-based accounting role; Strong technical accounting knowledge with hands-on experience in cost reporting and month-end processes; Confident working with operational leaders and mentoring non-finance stakeholders on commercial responsibilities; and Excellent communication skills and ability to influence and build strong working relationships across site teams.
