Overview Paxus Perth, Western Australia, Australia Architect Enterprise (Contract) We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect (Contract) to provide leadership and oversight in the development and integration of business and technology roadmaps, ensuring alignment with overall business strategy. This role is key in synthesising functional roadmaps into a business-wide roadmap and integrating these into the FY26 business plan. Prior mining industry experience will be highly regarded in informing architectural decisions. Responsibilities Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture framework, creating a blueprint for technology, processes, information, and systems to align with business strategy. Translate business vision into technology solutions, ensuring IT and OT systems support current and future business needs, including safety, productivity, and compliance. Define and promote architecture principles, standards, and guidelines for technology selection, integration, and lifecycle management. Lead design and governance processes, reviewing and endorsing project designs to ensure consistency with enterprise architecture. Facilitate collaboration across business, IT, OT, and external partners to ensure alignment and integration across all domains. Assess and manage technology risks, recommending mitigation strategies for technology choices, integration, and obsolescence. Evaluate emerging technologies to support innovation and continuous improvement initiatives. Document and communicate architectural decisions and roadmaps effectively to stakeholders. Develop and maintain multi-year technology roadmaps, providing clear direction for technology investments and initiatives. Experience & Qualifications Minimum 10 years of architecture consulting and design experience (enterprise and solution level). Strong understanding of mining business processes (iron ore experience highly regarded). Proven experience applying enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies. Experience in change management, project/program environments, and mining solutions. Education Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, IT, Engineering, or equivalent experience. Formal training in enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF). Functional / Technical Skills Functional Strong communication and facilitation skills to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. Ability to develop and maintain enterprise-level reference architectures and meta models. Experience translating functional and non-functional requirements into process concepts, models, and designs. Strong analytical, design, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in both project and operational environments. Strong stakeholder and vendor management skills. Technical Experience with architecture modelling techniques and tools (e.g., ArchiMate, UML, BPMN). Exposure to data, integration, solution, process, and technical architecture in the mining industry. Experience with enterprise architecture tools (e.g., iServer, ABACUS). Working knowledge of ServiceNow's SPM module (desirable).
