Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Venue Manager to oversee the daily operations of a well-established Bar and Bistro in a relaxed coastal community town, known for its family-friendly environment, beautiful beaches and welcoming atmosphere- and only 40 minutes from Hobart city! This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring compliance with Liquor & Gaming regulations, and managing a dedicated team across bar, kitchen, and cleaning services. About the Role As Venue Manager, you will take ownership of the venue’s performance, including revenue, profitability, and quality standards. You’ll work closely with the chef to develop a quality menu offering and lead staff to create a welcoming and safe environment for members and guests. Key Responsibilities Supervise staff and contractors to ensure compliance with legislative and operational requirements Manage recruitment, induction, rostering, training, and performance of employees Oversee licensing compliance, health and safety, and hygiene standards Maintain stock control and place supply orders Monitor venue security and ensure a safe, clean environment Deliver high-level customer service and resolve member/guest concerns Collaborate with the Executive Committee on staffing decisions and long-term planning Contribute to marketing, maintenance, and business development initiatives Perform other duties as directed by the Executive Committee What We’re Looking For Certificate II, III or IV in Hospitality (essential) Minimum 10 years’ experience in the hospitality industry (preferable) RSA, RCG and eligibility to be appointed as Liquor & Gaming Licensee (essential) Business qualification (preferred) Proficiency in Microsoft Office, H&L Venue Management software, and Xero Strong time management and multitasking abilities Proven people management and leadership skills Why Apply?
