Description About the role You will lead the payroll function by bringing technical expertise, system optimisation, and compliance leadership to the team. Your focus will be on ensuring payroll processes are accurate, efficient, and aligned with legislation while continuously seeking improvements. This role is ideal for someone who excels at problem solving, driving system enhancements, and providing expert guidance in complex payroll operations. About the team The Finance & Risk group provides essential financial stewardship and risk management to support Housing Choices Australia’s long-term sustainability and growth. It manages budgeting, financial reporting, treasury operations, and strategic financial planning, ensuring robust financial health and resource optimisation. This group strategically addresses financial risks and opportunities, safeguarding the organisation's capacity to deliver on its purpose effectively. Skills And Experiences About you You will have: Advanced knowledge of iChris payroll software (system implementation experience desirable) Strong experience with awards, enterprise agreements, and multi-jurisdiction payrolls Proven track record in payroll compliance, audits, and governance Ability to lead, mentor, and support payroll teams in a complex environment Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills You must agree to undergo any required employment screening, including but not limited to a National Criminal History or Police Check, Working with Children or Vulnerable Persons Check, and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
