Opportunity Overview: We seek an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join a leading health provider in a newly established position. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-profile infrastructure projects while ensuring the delivery of safe, sustainable, and cost-effective engineering solutions. Reporting to the Engineering and Infrastructure Senior Manager, the Senior Electrical Engineer will provide expert technical guidance, oversee complex engineering matters, and support the delivery of critical projects across the organisation. Your Key Responsibilities: In this multifaceted position, you will be exposed to so much! You will be exposed to working directly for the client and navigating the best possible outcomes. Your key accountabilities will include: Developing solutions for complex engineering challenges, focusing on sustainable buildings and emissions reduction. Providing high-level technical advice to the Engineering, Infrastructure and Site Facilities Management teams. Supporting the delivery of significant projects, including feasibility, design, and commissioning. Undertaking asset management analysis to ensure operational efficiency at the lowest total cost. Acting as the client representative with VHBA on new capital projects, ensuring compliance and quality outcomes. Mentoring and providing technical leadership to junior staff. Liaising with contractors, consultants, regulatory authorities, and other key stakeholders. Skills and Experience: We are seeking a skilled electrical expert with considerable experience in the health sector or comparable fields such as data centres and education. You will be: Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering; Chartered Engineer status highly desirable. Proven experience in building services projects with exposure to consultancy and knowledge of health, education, critical data centres, or similar sectors. Strong technical expertise in HV and LV power systems, with demonstrated knowledge of relevant Australian Standards, building codes, and OH&S legislation. Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD) and the capacity to interpret technical documentation, specifications, and calculations. Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate technical information effectively. Knowledge of asset management systems and principles to ensure cost-effective solutions.
