Overview Join to apply for the Safety Partner role at Bendigo Advertiser . Reporting to the Safety Manager, you will drive a strong and sustainable safety culture across Wire operations, coaching and supporting the line leaders of our Newcastle & Geelong sites to achieve an injury-free workplace. The role involves embedding key safety processes, evolving a pro-active interdependent safety culture, maintaining reporting systems, verifying health and safety processes, and guiding the development and application of an integrated safety business model. This role requires regular travel to the Geelong site. Responsibilities Facilitate incident investigations, hazard identification, and risk assessments. Advise and support line leaders to implement and communicate the InfraBuild health and safety policy, standards, programs, and procedures. Support leaders to manage incidents, investigations, and injuries, ensuring timely closure of corrective actions. Conduct verification activities of business processes related to high-risk activities. Support the implementation of new health and safety initiatives. Train stakeholders in safety systems and processes. Contribute to continuous improvement in health and safety performance and respond to incident trends. Qualifications and Experience Proven health and safety experience within a heavy industry, construction, or manufacturing environment; relevant WHS qualifications preferred. Diploma or Degree in Work Health and Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, OR Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety with strong practical experience. ICAM or equivalent incident investigation training is highly desirable. Experience in a safety advisory or business partnering role within heavy industry, manufacturing, construction, or similar high-risk environment. Demonstrated experience coaching and developing line leaders in WHS capability. Practical experience implementing WHS management systems and applying relevant legislation. Proven track record in risk management, incident investigation, and corrective action management. Experience using safety management software (e.g. Cority or similar systems).
