With a booming, culturally rich and diverse community, and less than an hourâs drive from the CBD (still within the bounds of Myki and ride-sharing), Melbourneâs North is fast becoming the place to be.   Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Nurse Unit Managers to join the Cardiac Procedure Unit.  About Northern Health: Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourneâs rapidly growing outer north.  Services are provided through our five main campuses: Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn Centre, and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park and Coburg.  About the Role: This role requires a strong and visible nursing leader to oversee the Cardiac Procedure Unit, which includes two cardiac catheterisation laboratories and eight points of care for inpatient and outpatient procedures.  This role is responsible for:  Leading and coordinating safe, high-quality and patient-centered nursing care within a multidisciplinary environment. Managing nursing staff, patient flow, rosters and resources to ensure efficient service delivery. Building a culture of innovation, teamwork, learning and professional growth. Driving quality, safety and continuous improvement in line with organisational standards and national frameworks. Supporting staff through mentoring, coaching and professional development  To be successful in this role you will have: Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse. Relevant postgraduate clinical and/or management qualifications (or working towards). Significant acute health experience, ideally in a large, multi-site organisation. Previous leadership experience (e.g. Acting NUM, ANUM, CNS or equivalent). Excellent interpersonal, communication and team-building skills. Knowledge of NSQHS standards and a strong commitment to safety, quality and patient-centered care.
