Description Applications are invited for an appropriately qualified and experienced First Aid Support Officer to join our administration team at the College. The Position The First Aid team at Parade College support the mission, vision and values of the College community, providing health support and first aid services to fulfil the College's duty of care to students and staff. The First Aid Support Officer will work collaboratively with team members to ensure effective and efficient administration of First Aid services across the College. The First Aid team ensure that the First Aid Office is a welcoming, supportive, effective, and efficient environment for students and staff. The key responsibilities and duties of the role include: To attend student, staff and visitor emergency and non-emergency situations in a calm, caring and compassionate manner whilst modelling the College's Vision and Values in providing first aid as required. To ensure all first aid supplies and kits, and medical records and reports are updated and current. This is a part-time ongoing position based at the Bundoora Campus of the College. This position attracts seven weeks' school holidays. The position FTE is negotiable, with the successful candidate expected to be available to work up to 17.5 hours per week across four or five days between the hours 10:00 am to 2:00pm. This position is classified as an Education Support Employee Level 2 position attracting an annual salary within the range $30,234 to $34,721 per annum plus superannuation (based on FTE 0.46). The ideal candidate will have: Demonstrated previous experience in a similar busy First Aid / Health Care environment; Current First Aid Level 2 qualification, with Anaphylaxis and Asthma Accreditation; Sound knowledge of Child Safeguarding, Mandatory Reporting requirements and Work Health and Safety legislation as it applies to a school/College setting or similar; Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and guidelines; Demonstrated excellent ability in the use of a range of computer applications include Microsoft Office and database systems; Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment; Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail; The ability to work independently and as well as collaboratively in a team environment to achieve shared outcomes and results; The ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders to establish and maintain strong and productive working relationships.
