We're on the lookout for skilled and experienced candidates to join our Lifeguard Services team as a Casual Beach Lifeguard for the Summer of 2025/2026.You will be supporting our permanent team during the peak school holiday period from 15 December 2025 to 26 January 2025, helping us keep our beaches safe and fun for everyone. About the role As a City Lifeguard, you'll provide timely, professional assistance to beachgoers, ensuring compliance with Local Laws, Regulations, and Policies. Application Process (Essential Dates) This is an expression of interest, with applications closing Sunday 26 October 2025 Shortlisted candidates will need to attend the following: Fitness Assessments: Saturday, 1 November 2025 (8 am – 12 pm, Greenmount Beach) and Wednesday, 5 November 2025 (3:30 pm – 5:00 pm, Burleigh Beach). Both sessions are mandatory. Pre-employment Medical Assessment: Week of 10 - 14 November 2025 Orientation and Induction: Wednesday 3rd December 2025 About you You're passionate about water safety and thrive on delivering high-quality customer service, ensuring every beachgoer has a safe and enjoyable experience. With proven lifeguarding experience, you bring practical knowledge of patrolling, responding to emergencies, and educating the public on beach and surf safety. Your communication and interpersonal skills are top-notch, allowing you to effectively interact with the public, your team, and other organisations. You excel in a team environment, building strong relationships with colleagues, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and policies. You're also committed to keeping your qualifications current and ready to dive into action.
