Introduction The Signal Group is one of Australia’s largest staff identification and branded merchandise providers. Based from our manufacturing facility and distribution centre in South-East Queensland, we service clients Australia wide, supplying customised name badges, personal and ID security solutions, awards, trophies, promotional products, workwear, apparel, headwear and signage. THE OPPORTUNITY In this role you will be responsible for Laser Engraving, producing products such as trophies, name plates, name badges, signage, decoration. Key responsibilities will include; Operate Trotec Laser Engravers, including machinery and imposition software Digitally and manually set up jo bs according to job specifications, including selecting appropriate materials, adjusting settings, and loading engravers. Monitor quality throughout the production process, making adjustments as necessary to ensure quality consistency and accuracy. Perform routine maintenance on machinery, including cleaning, lubricating and replacing worn parts. Troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during the process such as speed, focus, & power issues, or mechanical malfunctions. Follow Signal Group safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and the wider Production Team. Collaborate with other Team Members including the sales team, graphic designers, and Production Team Leaders / Managers to ensure timely completion of printing projects. Maintain accurate records of job orders, materials used, and production output. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in printing technology to recommend continuous improvement initiatives to improve the efficiency and quality of print production. YOUR BACKGROUND Knowledge of laser or printing techniques, materials and equipment with experience operating printing equipment in a fast-paced environment. The aptitude to become competent in Signal Group programs for Ganging, Imposing, and Laser Cutting, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and printing processes. Experience with Corel Draw, Adobe Creative Suite, Ruby. An understanding of Laser Cutting equipment, setting up and completing orders. Strong mechanical ability and troubleshooting skills to identify, quantify and resolve printing issues. Good attention to detail and an ability to maintain quality standards. Good teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with multiple audiences to convey complex data and information. Ability to follow work instructions and work independently with minimal supervision. Flexibility to work 7.6 hours ranging between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm on a Monday to Friday roster.
