The Role Macquarie University Health is recruiting for an experienced health professional to join the Perioperative Services team as a Nurse Manager. This role is an essential part of the leadership team, as you will oversee all anaesthetics, recovery and perfusion services delivered to patients at Macquarie University Hospital. As the Nurse Manager, you will coordinate the delivery of safe, efficient and high-quality clinical care, all in an effort of providing exceptional operational excellence for our patients. This position will also provide you with an opportunity to closely collaborate with a range of medical professionals including Surgeons, Anaesthetists, Theatre Management, and Nurse Unit Managers. Your involvement in these partnerships will help build positive patient outcomes, staff engagement and ensure optimal clinical performance across all Perioperative Services. You will manage a large team, with a focus on operational and strategic enhancements across Anaesthetics and Perfusion services, support workforce development and overall quality improvements. In this role, you will provide mentorship and leadership to nurses and work with Clinical Nurse Educators on building training outcomes that grow collaborative and cohesive clinical team practices. You may also have to satisfy MQ Health that you meet all background checks (including criminal record and qualification checks).
