About the Position Reporting to the Management Accountant, the successful candidate will have ownership of all end-to-end payroll functions for Newcastle Knights players and staff, preparation of all playing agreements for our players, and reporting and compliance of the club's salary caps. Your primary duties will include: - End to end payroll processing for all Newcastle Knights Staff and players (approx. 300) - Processing weekly time sheets and maintaining staff leave registers - Preparation of all player contracts for NRL, NRLW, NSWRL and junior pathways - Processing of Monthly Payroll Tax - Reconciliation of payments to the Club's Salary caps and General Ledger accounts - Preparation of head count and personal data for regular internal and government reporting - Recording of weekly player match results - Processing and managing compliance of additional player contracted benefits - Preparation of employee benefit schedules for FBT reporting - Preparation of data and reporting for audit purposes - Maintaining player budgets - Updating salary cap reports with all player contracts - Administering Club's salary cap compliance in accordance with the NRL & CBA About You To thrive in this role, you will possess the following skills and attributes: - Strong understanding of payroll legislation, superannuation regulations and tax calculations (minimum 3 years' experience) - Roles involves meticulous record keeping - Experience completing financial audits will be highly regarded - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment - Strong attention to detail - Experience using MYOB would be beneficial About Us The nib Newcastle Knights are an Australian professional Rugby League Football Club based in Newcastle, New South Wales.
