As an AWS Serverless Senior Technical Lead, you’ll be at the heart of my client’s technology team in leading the design and implementation of serverless applications (using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Step Functions. Etc) and setting best practices for serverless architecture (security, cost optimisation, scalability). This role is perfect for someone with a deep passion for AWS Cloud, Web, and API development, combined with a strong focus on technical excellence, leadership, problem-solving. Also, for someone who has solid experience in leading the design and implementation of serverless applications and acting as a bridge between business needs and cloud / serverless solutions. You’ll play a key role in driving best practices in cloud architecture, agile delivery, and DevOps, ensuring we continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible. What You’ll Be Doing: Technical Ownership – Set and uphold best practices in coding, security, and high-quality development standards. Cloud & API Development – Design, build, and optimise AWS-based cloud architectures, using serverless computing, microservices, and event-driven designs. Agile & DevOps Excellence – Champion Agile methodologies and DevOps best practices to improve efficiency and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Performance & Reporting – Manage resource planning, track team capacity, and provide regular project updates to key stakeholders. To Summarise: Leading the design and implementation of serverless applications (using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Step Functions, etc.). Setting best practices for serverless architecture (security, cost optimisation, scalability). Guiding engineering teams in adopting serverless technologies. Acting as a bridge between business needs and cloud/serverless solutions. To succeed in this role you will need: Extensive experinece in software development, including at least 3 years leading technical teams. Strong Leadership Skills: Proven ability to mentor and guide engineering teams. Cloud Architecture Expertise: Extensive experience in AWS cloud solutions (serverless, microservices, event-driven architectures). DevOps & CI/CD: Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, AWS DevOps Tools, CircleCI. Hybrid work envionrment Close to public transport, consisting of Buses, Trains & the Metro.
