BMP on West Pty Ltd T/A Dalby Caltex and Racecourse Star Cafe is seeking a dynamic and experienced Retail Store Manager to lead the operations of our busy fuel station and retail outlet in Dalby, QLD. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated leader with a strong background in retail or hospitality management to join a fast-paced and customer-focused environment. We are looking for a highly motivated, passionate individual to join the business in the leadership role of Retail Store Manager . The position is responsible for the entire operations of our retail services in our front-end shop, along with the service station. This includes managing customer service, inventory management, and stakeholder communication of a retail trading establishment. This position will report directly to the Director, and the job description includes, but is not limited to: Maintain effective day-to-day store operations and determine the level of stock for smooth sales and service standards. Oversee daily site operations, including shopfront, inventory, and staff supervision. Manage stock levels, ordering, and loss prevention strategies. Drive marketing promotions and upselling initiatives to increase revenue. Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and head office to ensure efficient operations. Strong financial judgement with the ability to drive sales and meet targets. Responsible for overseeing and recording the shop accounts, banking, and cash handling that is driven by sales, and ensuring enough cash is available at the point of sale and in the shop to efficiently run all transactions. Proactively plan and direct outstanding customer service and sustain sound client relations while solving any issues that may arise. Ability to recruit, train, develop staff, manage performance, and comply with company procedures Lead, manage, and motivate a diverse team to meet and exceed sales and service targets. Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with customers with confidence and promote the sale of products Ensure compliance with all health, safety, food handling, and workplace regulations. Maintain a clean, well-presented store environment that reflects BMP West standards. About the applicant: At least a diploma or higher qualification in business or management. Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar managerial or supervisory role. Proven ability to lead and develop a team in a fast-paced retail or hospitality setting. Motivation to inspire team members for excellence Good time management & leadership skills Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Strong customer service orientation with a professional and enthusiastic approach. Sound knowledge of WHS, food safety, and hygiene standards. Demonstrated experience in cash handling, POS systems, and banking. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure. Flexible availability to work across a 24/7 roster, including weekends and public holidays Holidays. Legal right to work in Australia. Willingness to travel between sites as required.
