We are seeking an experienced Laser Operator to join a well-established sheet metal fabrication business in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs. This is a permanent full-time role working the afternoon shift, Monday to Friday, 3:00pm – 11:30pm . Key Responsibilities Operate and monitor CNC laser cutting machines to produce components to precise specifications. Interpret engineering drawings and production schedules. Perform set-ups, adjustments, and routine maintenance on laser equipment. Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality. Work collaboratively with the production team to meet deadlines and maintain efficiency. Adhere to all safety and quality standards. Skills & Experience Previous experience operating CNC laser cutting machines (fibre laser experience highly regarded). Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
