Our client is seeking an experienced Accounts Officer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial transactions of the company, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. The Accounts Officer will work closely with other departments to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Our client has been the sole national distributor for Yutong buses since 2018, specialising in distributing Yutong buses, luxury coaches and their parts to a wide range of businesses and industries across Australia. At the forefront of the industries transition to zero emission buses, they are incredibly proud of, and passionate about the extension range of vehicles they offer. Despite rapid growth during this period, they remain an Australian owned and family operated with branches now located in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, and Cairns. Due to the consistent growth in their business, they have an opportunity for a suitably experienced and qualified Accounts Officer to join their Brisbane and Melbourne teams. The role will answer to the National Finance Manager. Some of the duties will be but are not limited to: Accounts Payable including timely processing and coding of supplier invoices using DocuSmart, monthly reconciliation of supplier statements, weekly payment of accounts, credit card transaction processing and reconciliation and vendor onboarding and credit applications Accounts Receivable including daily receipting of customer payments, monitoring and following up on overdue accounts including issuing monthly statements, maintaining customer accounts and managing credit limits and processing customer credit applications Bank Reconciliations Month End Procedures including completing all AP/AR entries and reconciliations by the 5th working day after EOM, performing full bank reconciliation and reviewing creditor and debtor balances We are looking for someone who has: Prior experience in a similar finance or accounting role Solid understanding of accounting principles including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation processes.
