Forklift Operator Glendenning location Monday to Friday 6am-2pm Immediate interview and start Now Careers is partnered with a metal and plastic packaging specialist, based in Western Sydney who are looking to add a forklift operator to their team. This position would be well suited to a both experienced operators and newly qualified with ongoing training in other areas of the business provided. The role will be 5 days while you are brought up to speed with training, with the possibility of 3 x 12 hour shifts or night shift available once ready. ABOUT THE ROLE This is a hybrid role where you will split your time between learning and assisting machine operators and also operating forklifts to load/unload materials safely and efficiently. Responsibilities: Perform manual handling of tinplate and stillage boards - up to 12kg. Assist with machine operation in a fast paced environment. Safely operate forklifts in warehouse environment. Assist with machine wash-ups using solvents and inks. Maintain good housekeeping practices in all work areas. Work within a team to ensure completion of all jobs on time. What we are looking for: Reliability and punctuality for all shifts. Experience working in a fast paced environment. Forklift and machine operating experience. Forklift licence Positive attitude and strong work ethic. Ability to work well within a team and unsupervised when required. Clear verbal and written communication. Full working rights.
