The Opportunity u&u Recruitment is partnering with QBuild to recruit experienced Estimators (OO6) to join the team in Cairns. In this role, you will play a key part in preparing tender and quotation documentation for building projects, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and value for money. You will liaise with clients, suppliers and subcontractors while using estimating systems to support the successful delivery of projects throughout Far North Queensland. Key responsibilities include: Prepare high‑quality tender and quotation documentation for building projects; Utilise estimating software to produce accurate estimates and trade packages; Compile material lists and construction programs in line with best practice; Assist in the development and improvement of estimating and cost management practices; and Collaborate with clients, suppliers and subcontractors to maximise service delivery. Required Experience We are seeking detail‑oriented professionals with experience in estimating and a strong understanding of the building and construction sector. You will ideally have: Previous estimating experience within building/construction projects; Proficiency in estimating software and strong attention to detail; Ability to research and analyse information to produce accurate costings; Strong written and verbal communication skills with stakeholders; and A collaborative approach and a focus on achieving client satisfaction.
