BEDA – Brisbane Economic Development Agency Social Media Coordinator – 12-month Department: Destination, Marketing & Brand Reports to: Social Media Executive Do you love storytelling, creating content that sparks engagement, and showcasing a city to the world? Brisbane Economic Development Agency (BEDA) is looking for a creative and motivated Social Media Coordinator to join our Destination, Marketing & Brand team. This is a hands-on role where you’ll capture, create and publish dynamic content across our key social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn) for Visit Brisbane, Brisbane City and key business channels. What you’ll do: Deliver engaging content aligned to BEDA’s social media strategies; Plan and schedule content calendars for maximum reach and impact; Capture and edit video/photo content optimised for each channel; Actively engage with online communities – responding to comments, messages, and mentions; Source fresh content from events, attractions, destinations, and businesses across Brisbane; and Build relationships with influencers, creators, and brand partners. What you’ll bring: 12 months experience managing social media platforms, ideally for a consumer-facing brand; Strong writing and storytelling skills, with an eye for visuals and meticulous attention to detail; Eagerness to build skills in video editing, photography and graphic content creation, with prior experience considered an asset; Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment; Enthusiasm for Brisbane, with a passion for sharing its stories; and Flexibility to attend and capture content at events outside standard office hours.
