Looking for an experienced Production Manager to take full ownership of our Machine Shop, driving efficiency, quality, and team performance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. What You’ll Do Lead the Machine Shop: Oversee both conventional and CNC machining operations, ensuring machines, schedules, and people are optimized for maximum output. Plan & Control Production: Implement effective production schedules, monitor workflow, and ensure jobs are completed on time and to specification. Build & Mentor Your Team: Manage supervisors, setters, and operators – driving accountability, skills development, and a culture of continuous improvement. Champion Quality: Ensure 100% adherence to quality standards, tight tolerances, and zero-defect production. Drive Efficiency: Improve OEE, reduce scrap, and implement Lean Manufacturing and 6S best practices. Collaborate & Report: Work closely with planning, quality, and maintenance teams and report on key performance metrics to management. What We’re Looking For Education: National Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering (or a trade-tested artisan with management experience). Experience: 8–10 years in a CNC/manual machining environment (close-tolerance machining a must). 3–5 years in a management role leading production teams. CNC programming & troubleshooting (FANUC, Siemens, Mitsubishi). Technical drawing & CAD model interpretation. ERP/MRP systems, production planning, and cost control. Proven leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making ability. Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and 6S methodology.
