The Opportunity We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Officer to take ownership of payroll operations within a fast-paced environment. This permanent role offers a salary of $90,000 – $100,000 super and genuine scope to add value and drive process improvements. You’ll ensure compliance with Australian payroll legislation while managing a high-volume monthly payroll. Key Responsibilities Reporting into the national payroll manager and working alongside a team you will process end-end payroll for a high volume employee base. Prepare and lodge statutory returns including PAYG, superannuation, STP, and payroll tax Accurately maintain employee records throughout the employee lifecycle (onboarding, transfers, exits) Partner with HR, Finance, and project stakeholders to ensure correct reporting and cost allocations Process end-to-end monthly payroll in line with legislation and internal policy Support compliance reviews and external/internal audits through thorough record-keeping Provide guidance to junior staff and assist with training and development in payroll processes Identify opportunities for streamlining payroll procedures and contribute to ongoing improvements Participate in testing and supporting payroll-related projects and enhancements About You Proven experience in end-to-end payroll within a corporate environment Excellent knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and Modern Awards Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Strong stakeholder management and communication skills Apply via the link below or send your resume directly to Joshua Boyd at jboyd@fourquarters.com.au
