The Role: The Role: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Chef / Kitchen Manager to lead our kitchen operations and deliver high-quality meals in a busy pub setting. Reporting directly to management, the successful candidate will oversee all aspects of the kitchen, from menu planning and food preparation to staff supervision and compliance. Your duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: · Planning menus within budget, based on customer demand and seasonal availability. · Preparing and cooking a range of pub-style meals in line with established standards and recipes. · Ordering, receiving, and managing stock; overseeing portion control, waste reduction, and storage. · Monitoring kitchen operations, ensuring quality, taste, and presentation standards are consistently met. · Training, supervising, and supporting junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive team culture. · Ensuring compliance with food hygiene, health, and safety regulations at all times. · Managing kitchen equipment, conducting stocktakes, and reporting maintenance requirements to management. · Contributing to the ongoing improvement of kitchen processes and efficiency. About You About You: The ideal candidate will demonstrate: · Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent trade qualifications). · At least 2 years’ experience as a Chef or in a kitchen management role. · Strong knowledge of food safety standards and HACCP. · Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills. · The ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. · A genuine passion for cooking, hospitality, and creating a great customer experience.
