The Role We're seeking motivated Orchard Assistants to join a busy almond farm in Hillston, NSW. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys physical, outdoor work and wants to gain experience across a variety of orchard tasks. You'll be working in a supportive team environment, helping to maintain young trees, assist with orchard hygiene, and contribute to the success of the upcoming season. Key Responsibilities In this role, you'll support daily orchard operations, ensuring young almond trees are well cared for and that orchard hygiene, pruning, pest management, and irrigation tasks are completed to a high standard. Your duties will include: Inspecting and maintaining young trees, including weed removal and branch care Assisting with pruning to promote tree health and future yield Driving farm machinery such as mules, ATVs, and the florry Supporting irrigation maintenance, including re-pegging and securing drip lines Identifying and reporting pest or disease issues General farm hand duties as required Benefits $30.35 per hour penalty rates Approx. 3 months duration 38 hours per week Gain valuable hands-on experience in orchard management Be part of a safety-focused, supportive farming team Your Skills & Experience We're looking for reliable and hardworking candidates who enjoy outdoor work and are keen to learn.
