About the Role Family Centered Support Services is seeking a dedicated and passionate Trainer to join our Learning and Development Team. In this pivotal role, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality training programs and support services to our front-line staff, helping to build capability and confidence across the organisation. This is a permanent, full-time position offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while contributing to the growth and development of our teams across multiple regions. Key Responsibilities Deliver training programs aligned with the organisation’s framework and methodologies Conduct comprehensive needs assessments to identify training requirements for individuals and teams Develop engaging training materials, including presentations, handouts, and multimedia resources Facilitate both in-person and virtual training sessions, fostering an interactive and supportive learning environment Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback, performance assessments, and outcome analysis Provide ongoing support to trainees, including follow-up sessions and additional learning resources Collaborate with Operations teams to continuously improve training content and delivery methods in line with industry standards Main Tasks Deliver engaging, informative training sessions tailored to the needs of the organisation and its teams Facilitate Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training Conduct organisational induction training for new staff Create visually appealing and effective training materials to enhance participant learning Evaluate training outcomes to measure impact and identify opportunities for improvement Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in adult learning and development Travel Required Travel is a key component of this role. You’ll be required to visit various Family Centered Support Services locations—including Toowoomba, Stanthorpe, and Brisbane—to deliver live training sessions. This may include overnight stays, particularly during Induction and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training, or as needed. Your flexibility and commitment to travel will be essential to ensuring the successful delivery of training across the organisation. About You The ideal candidate should have a strong background in adult education and excellent communication skills. Having a TCI Trainer Associate Certification from Cornell University and experience in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention training is preferred. You should be able to customise training for different audiences while focusing on effective learning outcomes.
