Your role at St John of God Midland Hospital The Physiotherapist works alongside the multi-disciplinary team to provide clinical physiotherapy to clients/patients using evidence based clinical practice skills. We are currently seeking enthusiastic casual Physiotherapists to provide weekend and public holiday coverage across a range of clinical areas, including: Medical and Surgical Wards Orthopaedic Wards Critical Care Unit Emergency Department In your cover letter, please specify the clinical areas you are interested in and your preferred frequency of availability. The Position Provide high quality evidence-based physiotherapy assessments and treatments for all patients/clients, including the provision of hydrotherapy treatments where applicable. Using patient-centered care work with the patient to develop appropriate physiotherapy treatment goals and plans for all patients/clients. Ensure that direct working relationships are established and maintained with multi-disciplinary colleagues and internal/external customers including active participation in the multidisciplinary team meetings Use of Evidence Based Patient treatment outcome measures and use of patient feedback satisfaction measures and quality assurance activities Participate in the physiotherapy department weekend roster if required. Responsible for completing appropriate administrative duties arising from each session instructed. This requires liaison with the office administration team, reporting of statistical data and completion of clinical documentation. Delegate to other staff members where appropriate e.g. Allied Health Assistants, or students. Maintain effective communication with patients, their families, staff and external health professionals and agencies to ensure quality patient management. Position Requirements You will hold current registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia (AHPRA) with experience in provision of Physiotherapy services in relevant clinical settings including the provision of hydrotherapy treatments. To succeed you will demonstrate effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to work independently and within a multi-disciplinary team.
